StarWish Privacy Policy

Thank you and your child for using StarWish. We take your family's privacy and the security of children's personal data seriously.

Our core commitment: StarWish follows an Offline-First design. Tasks, check-in records, photo evidence, rewards, redemption history, star transactions, and parent settings are stored only on your device. Feedback content and an optional email address are sent to our server only when a parent chooses to submit feedback.

1. Data We Collect

1. Local data storage: Task lists created by you and your child, completion records (including status, date and time, and optional photo evidence), reward lists, custom images, redemption records, star details, and the parent PIN are stored in the app's local data sandbox. StarWish does not upload them to a server.
2. Voluntary feedback: When a parent chooses to use Feedback, we collect the feedback type and message, an optional contact email address, and the StarWish application source identifier. These are sent over HTTPS to the feedback server to handle issues, reply, and assess product improvements. Do not include your child's name, the parent PIN, photos, or other sensitive information unrelated to resolving the issue.
3. No third-party tracking or analytics: We do not include third-party advertising SDKs, behavior-tracking SDKs, or analytics event components, and do not track your or your child's personal identifiers across apps.

2. Special Notice on Children's Privacy

• Designed for children and families: StarWish strictly complies with applicable laws and regulations on the online protection of children's personal information.
• No active collection of children's identity information: The app requires no account registration or child's name, age, avatar, or location. Feedback is available only to parents who have verified their parent PIN.
• Ad-free environment: The app has no commercial advertising, third-party marketing notifications, or in-app social features, providing a safe, uncluttered setting for children to build habits.
• Independent parental control: Sensitive actions such as task management, reward settings, star adjustments, and feedback are protected by a separate PIN and require parent verification.

3. System Permissions

• Photos / camera (optional): Used only when taking photo evidence for a task check-in or selecting custom images for tasks or rewards. Photos and selected images are stored only in the local app sandbox and are not uploaded with feedback. You can manage these permissions in system settings at any time.
• Network access: Used only when you choose to submit feedback or view this policy and the user agreement in the app. All core features—task check-ins, reward redemption, star calculations, and achievement badges—work offline with no network connection.

4. Data Security and Your Control

• Control of local data: Parents can modify, archive, or delete tasks and rewards in the app. Uninstalling the app deletes its data from the current device. If you use a system-level device backup, backup copies remain subject to Apple's backup mechanisms.
• Feedback retention: Feedback and optional email addresses are retained for as long as needed to process feedback, follow up on issues, and maintain necessary records, and deleted once that purpose is complete or a valid deletion request is received. Only authorized administrators may access feedback data. It is not sold or used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
• Deletion and access requests: To access or delete submitted feedback, contact us through Feedback in the app and provide the email address in your original feedback or enough information to locate the record.

5. Policy Updates

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Updated terms will be published and take effect on this page. You can view the latest version in the app's parent settings at any time.
